Preston Public Library has improved its accessible entrance by adding an automatic door opener. With the push of a button, those who use wheelchairs, strollers, and walking aids of all types can now gain easy entrance to the library. The accessible entrance is located adjacent to the library's main door to the south.
Preston Village Community Chest recently gave a generous donation to the Preston Public Library. The library board discussed how the funds were to be spent and voted to order books and DVDs of particular interest to Minnesotans. Among the new titles are the following: “OoLaLa Lefse”, “Minnesotans in the Movies”, “Gunflint: The Trail, The People, The Stories”, Exploring the Twin Cities with Children”, “Trout Fishing in Southeast Minnesota”, "101 Wild Rice Recipes" and many more. Look for these on a special display at the library.
