100th Anniversary Celebration

Saturday, September 27, 2008...What a day! It began early for some when a few women met at Ila Mae's house to prepare sandwiches. The library opened at 10 a.m. and soon board members started to arrive to set up for the program and open house at 2:00 p.m. Board President, Robert O'Reilly was the emcee for the program with Ila Mae Olstad (board member and long time library user) talking about memories of the library from her childhood, Janene Roessler (former librarian, 1994-2007) speaking on the history of the library, Ann Hutton (SELCO director) giving us information on the history of SELCO and how our library played a role in its formation, and Elizabeth Anderson (current librarian) telling us about what the library offers today.

Readers read a total of 41,041 minutes, or 424 hours and teens read 25,757 pages.
