Author Talk and Book Signing with Catherine Alexander

Tuesday, Dec. 12

7 p.m.

This inspirational story is based on true life events of a strong and beautiful, young, mixed-blood Anishinabe woman, growing up on the White Earth Reservation, who faces the challenges of racial discrimination, sexism, and the economic challenges of the Depression. Her strength and determination help her overcome sexual abuse and mental illness as she creates a life for herself and her family.

Wildflower Performance

Wildflower, a folk-band from Winona, will be performing at the Preston Public Library on Thursday, Oct. 26, at 7 p.m.

Co-sponsored by the Preston Arts Board.
The group performs on duo keyboards and guitars, cello, and flute. They create a fresh, effervescent sound with a delightful mix of covers and originals written by two of the members. Their music is an eclectic, yet cohesive style of contemporary folk and romantic soft rock.
